Terraforma is back at Villa Arconati on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. After two years of covering and spirling new orbits, Terraforma will land again on the dusty soil of Villa Arconati , releasing rhythm and frequencies, one step back and two steps forward. The seventh edition of the experimental and sustainable music festival will focus on its most radical and original essence: the experience of being together through music and dance. New horizons will be terraformed: temporary autonomous zones and organic environments where music, nature, and people can come together as a whole, where the sense of rhythm can once again be bound with the natural frequencies of the environment.
The enthusiasm is growing and we’re glad to reveal the final names of the lineup of this 7th edition: on Saturday morning, Ange Halliwell will inaugurate a new matinée format that will facilitate the campers’ awakenings at the festival, performing an overwhelming and trance-inducing acoustic harp solo live. Later on we’ll have sound artist Sofie Birch, who will present an ethereal morning set creating melodic ambient compositions that will encourage the listeners to dream and dwell. In the afternoon, DJ FATi, the solo project of artist Phoebé Guillemot, will present one of her iconic sets merging soundscapes, electronic, acoustic instruments and visual works. EXPAT, the new project formed by Mykki Blanco and Samuel Acevvedo, will put TF’s alpha stage on fire, focusing on an intense, dramatic and theatrical live show. Finally, Piezo, the Milan-based electronic music producer, DJ and sound artist working at the intersection of UK techno, sound-system culture and mutant dance music will make his debut at the festival in the evening. On Sunday morning, the Italian drummer Valentina Magaletti Drummer will follow on the new matinée format with her astonishing drum acoustic set, capturing a full spectrum of sounds while employing only minor additional elements. Finally, Milan-based DJ and part of Akwaaba World collective Aaron Dunkies, will also be one of the protagonists of Terraforma’s Sunday morning, playing a dj set featuring sounds recalling his roots culture, disco and hip-hop.
*FOR ONCE, WE JUST DANCE.
