This has earned them the reputation as one of the most recognized extreme bands in the scene today, through countless live shows and tours they have under their belt, the music of MONARCH is an experience to behold within the realm of doom.
Forged by a heaving earth rumbling low-end rhythm section being harnessed by the crawling and churning riffs of despair, and all held within the grips of the harsh and spellbinding vocals of Emilie Bresson, MONARCH have continued to raise the bar and push their own threshold with every succeeding release they unleash amongst their repertoire.

I DOLPO, in attivita’ dal 2013, eseguono una musica sperimentale di derivazione drone-doom ispirata agli antichi ed oscuri culti dell’area nepalese, tibetana e nord indiana: il culto Aghori, da cui attingono l’estetica meditativa e tetra; il culto sciamanico del Bön, da cui prendono parte della strumentazione originale (tamburi Dhyangro e Damaru, tromboni telescopici in rame Rag-dung, tromba in femore umano Kangling, tibetan singing bowl) e il metodo di canto tipico dei cori tantrici nepalesi e tibetani “Gyer”. A questa strumentazione accostano chitarre elettriche, basso, timpano e piatti, theremin, shruti box. Il risultato e’ una musica cupa, rumorosa, ambientale, che trasporta la fantasia dell’ascoltatore dall’ambiente urbano del club, fino alle desolate cime della catena dell’Himalaya, lungo i solitari e pericolosi percorsi battuti dagli Yak.
Un concerto, un rito iniziatico.
