Gli Argine si sono formati nel 1992, partiti da un background post-punk nel tempo arricchitosi di sfumature ora più intimiste ed acustiche, ora di momenti di elettronica suonata.
Il tutto rielaborato in un suono molto personale di contorno ai testi di Corrado Videtta.
Più volte in studio si sono avvalsi di collaborazioni con elementi di spicco della scena underground italiana: Federico Fiumani
(Diaframma), Cristiano Santini (Disciplinatha), Lucia Vitrone (Contropotere), Elena Previdi (Camerata Mediolanense).
Gli Argine hanno partecipato ad innumerevoli compilation con etichette di tutto il mondo e vantano una pluriennale attività live in Italia ed all’estero.

are one of the main Ethereal Progressive Neofolk band from Italy. They are the solo project of Riccardo Prencipe (composer, art historian) with vocal contributions from numerous female singers and actresses. They play ethereal music in a neoclassical dark wave style, with heavenly vocals. Their music is inspired by the ancient Italian visual arts. They have released 6 albums; their last studio album is called "I maestri del Colore", and was conceived as a wooden palette used for mixing colors with sounds, the sounds of the colors are evoked by using lot of different musical instruments and musical styles. Almost all existing music tonalities have been used for the songs; moreover every title refers to a different color and the graphic design is inspired to one of the most famous Italian art history encyclopedias released in the '60s.
Riccardo started in 1999 with his first neomedieval gothic band band LUPERCALIA. they released the first album "Soehrimnir" with the English label World Serpent distribution (Death in June, Current 93, Antony and the johnsons, Nurse with wound) and the second album "Florilegium" with the Portuguese label Equilibrium Music. In 2005 Riccardo started his idea of the "Workshop of sound", an opened team with many artists to collaborate with.

started as a musical project back in late 1998 from the strong will of self expression of Davide Borghi (Vocals, guitars, lyrics) and Carlo Baja-Guarienti (keyboards, piano, flute),who joined forces after different musical experiences . Albireon developed an heartfelt and clear sound with acoustic guitar and keyboards and started to write and record music.
