Giulio Aldinucci è nato a Siena nel 1981 ed è attivo da anni come compositore negli ambiti della sperimentazione musicale elettroacustica e della ricerca sul paesaggio sonoro. Ha realizzato sette album usciti per le etichette Karlrecords (D), 99chants (D), Home Normal (UK/J), Time Released Sound (USA), Dronarivm (RUS) e Nomadic Kids Republic (UK/J). Ha inoltre composto cinque EP e sei album collaborativi con The Star Pillow, Ian Hawgood, Francis M. Gri, Francesco Giannico e Pleq pubblicati da Midira (D), Home Normal (UK/J), KrysaliSound (I), Dronarivm (RUS) e Eilean (F).Il suo nuovo album, No Eye Has an Equal, è uscito per 99chants (D) a ottobre 2019. Oltre alla partecipazione a lavori collettivi, ha composto musica per performance teatrali, video arte e cinema.

Ha inoltre contribuito a numerose raccolte, tra le quali l’edizione speciale di The Wire Tapper che celebra l’edizione numero 50 con una selezione dal catalogo ventennale della serie e Sound at Work – Musica Elettronica e Mondo del Lavoro realizzata dal centro di ricerca musicale Tempo Reale. La sua composizione Mute Sirens ha ricevuto una menzione d’onore al 18° International Electroacoustic Composition Competition Música Viva 2017 (P).
Assieme ad Attilio Novellino, ha lanciato Postcards from Italy.

Il progetto consiste in un album pubblicato da Oak Editions (I), un’istallazione e delle performance (la prima si è svolta al Cafè
OTO, Londra) ad opera del collettivo AIPS e Gianmarco Del Re.
È curatore della sezione Soundscape Practice dell’Archivio Italiano Paesaggi Sonori.

Giulio Aldinucci was born in Siena (Italy) in 1981. He has been active for years as a composer in the field of experimental
electroacoustic music and in the research on soundscape.He composed seven albums released by the labels Karlrecords (D),
99chants (D), Home Normal (UK/J), Time Released Sound (USA), Dronarivm (RUS) and Nomadic Kids Republic (UK/J).

Furthermore, he made six EPs and six collaborative albums with The Star Pillow, Ian Hawgood, Francis M. Gri, Francesco Giannico
and Pleq published by Midira (D), Home Normal (UK/J), KrysaliSound (I), Dronarivm (RUS) and Eilean (F).His new album, No Eye Has an Equal, was released in October 2019 by 99chants (D).In addition to his contribution to various collective works, he wrote music for theatre, video art and cinema.

His music is featured in many compilations, including Sound at Work – Electronic Music and Labour created by Tempo Reale, the Italian electronic music research centre founded by Luciano Berio, and the special edition of The Wire Tapper that celebrates the 50th issue with a selection from the series' 20 year back catalogue, among others.

His composition Mute Sirens was awarded with an honourable mention at the 18th International Electroacoustic Composition Competition Música Viva 2017 (P).Together with Attilio Novellino he launched the project Postcards from Italy which consists of an album published by Oak Editions (I), live events (the first one took place at Cafe OTO, London) and an installation by AIPS collective & Gianmarco Del Re. He is the curator of the Soundscape Practice section of AIPS, Italian Archive Soundscapes.
