Peine Perdue was born in Paris in 2010 from the encounter of Berlin-based artist and musician
Stephane Argillet (La Chatte, France Fiction) and Coco Gallo. A first single «Amour Paresse»,
accompanied by a self produced video caught the attention of the minimal wave scene and led them
to a first series of concerts in Paris, Brussels and Berlin. After a second single, «Je Penche», a first
music tape is released by Manchester underground label Vocoder Tapes, soon followed in 2013 by
a 6 titles EP, «Adieu Staccato», on cult german label Kernkrach records. fte cold and melancholic
synthpop of the french duet finds its roots in cinematographic phantasmagories, nebulous synthetic
architectures and sensual minimal wave. Mathematics dance meets reverie on their first album, «No
Souvenir», released on Cold Beats Records in 2014, and selected second best album of the year by
Vice Magazine. After a two monthes tour in April and May 2014 throughout Europe, a new full
length LP «Disparitions» released in April 2015 on american label Medical Records. They then
toured in Europe and Canada.
Their third album «Nuit Blanche» will be released in May 2016.
