Algorave is an abbreviation of "algorithmic rave", an event where "live coders" work in front of an audience to create danceable music generated by algorithms.
Renick is a programmer musician and lecturer based in Tokyo, where for some years he is become a key figure in the environment.
During the lecture, Renick will show his research that connects live coding, improvisation and algorithmic composition through open source software - like his Conductive, available for free online. Participants will learn about the TidalCycles library for the Haskell programming language, and will get a taste of Renick's evening performance at the Temple of the Lost Future.
