Mare di Dirac is an electro-acoustic collective project founded in 2009 by two italians sound artists; Lorenzo Abattoir , member of various projects within the noise scene (Psicopompo, Abattoir & Satori) & Luca Di Dato (better known as Poseitrone), who plays ethnic instruments and analog electronics.
The concept is based on the fundamental principles of Quantum Physics applied to field recording of ritualistic practices from different traditions . Acoustic resonances of instruments and natural effects of a space are the basic elements of the compositional structure.
