The Turin Horse is Enrico Tauraso (vocals, guitar, samples, and
ex-Dead Elephant) and Alain Lapaglia (drums and ex-Morkobot).
They met in 2015 while sharing the same need and desire to
create a new musical entity in order to let loose their creativity.
Not long later they both decided to move to Turin, and started to
experiment with new and different ways to write music. Enrico
began to build most of the gear he uses. The lack of a bass player
in the band became an opportunity for him to venture into new
creative avenues and Alain started to develop a new approach to
drumming.
The sheer violence of the sonic attack created by the duo
demonstrates their ability to deliver relentless, heavy, visceral, and
intense music that cannot leave the listener indifferent.
Unpredictable and unstoppable, their use of rapid time signatures
changes, scorching dissonance, and pachydermic distortion,
creates a constant state of tension in each song. These two are
showing us with ease how you can sound full and complete with
only two instruments and band members.
