Rodolfo Venegas, AKA Sonikgroove, is a Colombian producer and DJ currently based in Barcelona whose sound comes from the combination of electronic music with organic elements of Afro-Latin music.
As a producer his songs and remixes have been released under labels like Regional (CHL), Hawaii Bonsaï (CH), Folcore Records (BCN), Cabeza Netlabel (ARG), and under his own,
Gozalow. Many of his compositions have been recognized and published in major specialized blogs such as: Tropical Bass, Cassette Blog and Generation Bass.
His DJ sessions are loaded with heavy basslines, ancient rhythms and spatial sounds. Genres like Electro Cumbia, Nu Folklore, Slow House, Moombahton, Dancehall, Afro House, Dub, Oriental Bass, Balkan Beats and Drum & Bass are spontaneously and carefully mixed hitting the dancefloor. Sonikgroove has performed in cities like Bogotá, Berlin, Stockholm, Paris, Toulouse, Geneva, Zürich, Turin, Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona.
He also is the organizer and resident DJ of the "GOZALOW" party, a true benchmark in the city's World Electronica and Global Bass scene.
